Thomas Charles Lasorda (born September 22, 1927 in Norristown, Pennsylvania) is a former Major League baseball pitcher and manager. 2009 marks his sixth decade in one capacity or another with the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers organization, the longest non-continuous (he played one season with the Kansas City Athletics) tenure anyone has had with the team, edging Dodger broadcaster Vin Scully by a single season. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a manager in 1997.Whether you can achieve your goals or fall short depends in your determination and desire. The stronger your desire and determination you have in you, the more barriers and limitations you'll break. Nothing is impossible and impossible is nothing.
