The 2011 edition of the Brunswick Euro Challenge to be held in Paris next week will feature our favorite tenpin bowling team...TEAM MALAYSIA!!!
After an intense 2 days and 4 blocks of 24 games roll-off, this year's french Euro Challenge will be even more watched by Sarawakians as our very own Jacqueline Jenelee Sijore has qualified herself along with Siti Shazwani, Hee Kar Yen and Zandra Aziela for the Ladies team. The Men's team will feature Adrian Ang, Aaron Kong, Syafiq Ridhwan and Zulmazran Zulkifli. It was almost a double joy for Sarawak as another of us in the National Elite Backup Team trainee, Dayang Khairuniza Dhiyana finished 5th just outside the cut.
It was no walk in the park for the Sarawakian lass as a disastrous start in the first of 2 blocks saw her finish the 1st day in last position. After a meal of pasta coupled with a good nights rest, she clawed her way back to finish the 2nd and final day of 12 games in the top 4 which earned her a ticket to the city of romance and escargots.
Leaving next week then returning a week later to link up with her state team for the 24th Interstates Tenpin Bowling Championship, goes to show what kind of champion she is made of.....
